Questions & Answers
How does Echo Flow work?
Hold ⌥ + Space, speak naturally, then release. Your words are transcribed on-device, polished, and pasted right where your cursor is. No buttons, no app switching, no friction.
Is my voice data private?
Completely. Your audio, transcription, and polish all run locally on your Mac — nothing is uploaded, stored, or processed in the cloud. We don't collect or train on anything you say. There's no server to send it to even if we wanted to.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Speech recognition uses Apple's on-device model, and all polish runs locally via Apple Intelligence and a rule-based engine. No internet required for any feature.
What does polishing actually do?
It removes filler words (um, you know), fixes punctuation and capitalization, and applies your chosen tone — professional, casual, or email-style. The output reads like you wrote it, not like you dictated it.
Which apps does it work with?
Anywhere you can type. Gmail, Slack, Notion, VS Code, Messages, Word — doesn't matter. Echo Flow pastes wherever your cursor is focused.
What Mac do I need?
macOS 15 or later, Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Polish is handled by Apple Intelligence on supported versions with an automatic rule-based fallback on older releases.
Is there a subscription?
No. Echo Flow is a free 14-day trial, then a one-time purchase for lifetime access with free updates. No subscriptions, no recurring fees, no usage limits.
